The Autism Center of Michigan (ACM) provides a family based intervention approach for individuals who are on the autistic spectrum utilizing applied behavioral analysis and behavior therapy techniques on an individual and family session basis. Functional Behavioral Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans are designed in the natural environment (home/school/work) and modified as the individual develops more independent living capabilities.  Video recording of sessions are also available for assessment and treatment supports.  Video self modeling is a very powerful tool for individuals with an Autistic Spectrum Disorder (ASD) as personal feedback as well as a social skill development (awareness) tool. Family therapy sessions are essential for an effective (systemic) behavioral intervention program. Services primarily include individual and family training sessions, assessment/evaluation services as well as training of school, home and work personnel/members who are directly involved with the individual with autism.
